DEPLOYMENT PROJECT FOR REASEARCH OFFICIALLY GATES MRI-TBV02-E01

The research project name GATES MRI-TBV02-E01 is a research project for epidemiology in multi-countries to value the rate of positive result from Interferon gamma release assay (IGRA) and construction ability effective research of Tuberculosis vaccine on high burden population. The national morality council for biomedical research approved the outline of research for epidemiology in research program GATES MRI-TBV02-E01 date 04/7/2022. National Lung Hospital and Pham Ngoc Thach Hospital, Hospital for Tuberculosis and Lung diseases in Can Tho province, Oxford University – Clinical research organization in Vietnam is the main party in research under sponsor Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute Fund (Gate MRI).

The research project has performed in Hanoi, HCMC, Can Tho province. In Hanoi have National Lung hospital, Hai Ba Trung district, Dong Da District, Ba Dinh District, Hoang mai District; in Hochiminh have Pham Ngoc Thach hospital, District 4, District 6, District 8, Binh Chanh District, Go Vap District, Thu Duc city; In Can Tho have Hospital for Tuberculosis and Respiratory Disease and community.

The objects in research included 640 people, in Hanoi need 160 people who are risk of LTBI and active TB from 15 years old to 34 years old, meet on standard of choice and not an exception according to standard outline from 02/2022 to 02/2025.

The research project GATES MRI-TBV02-E01 is a resource for Tuberculosis vaccine research not only in Vietnam, that also over the world where focus the power source to push a battle to Tuberculosis and getting the commitment ending Tuberculosis in 2030. Tuberculosis will be
